what you will need:
Attract Butterflies
~ old soft fruit
~ a bowl for mixing
~ a masher (a tool for mashing potatoes etc)
~ a feeding plate ( an old plate from the kitchen will do, use a couple of you liek several feeding stations)
~ soft brown sugar
~ it is easy to attract butterfly into your kid garden

~ feed butterfly from the food station

~ lots of butterflies come into their wings late in summer and then hibernate as adult butterflies

~ they need lots of sugar to build up their body fat reserves to help them survive the cold winter season

~ plant flowewrs and plants that attract butterflies
How to Make Butterflies Food
~ take some old soft fruit like bananas, old apples and pears,grapes, plums, nectarines etc
~ when they are old they are overripe and soft enough to mash
~ add all your fruits into your mixing bowl , removing any hard stalks and fruit pips
~ take the masher and mash them all up
~ now add some brown sugar into the butterflies food mix and stir again
~ Once the butterfly feeding mixture is nice and soft add a little water to make it runny and easy for the butterflies to sip up
~ pour the butterfly feeding mixture onto your plate
~ find a suitable spot in your backyard wildlife garden and place the butterfly food there
~ Watch the hungry butterflies enjoy their tasty food
