How to Make a Pine Cone Bird Feeder

What you need to
make bird feeder
~ pine cones - large ones work best
~ a piece of strong string or wire
~ 250 gr of suet ( a cooking fat)
~ 1 jar of peanut butter ( unsalted)
~ a little bit of plain flour
~ a variety of bird seeds
~ saucepan / cooking pot
How to Make Bird Feeder Pine Cone
~ take a pinecone and make sure it is nice and dry
~ if it is a freh one let it dry for a week 9 or in a warm place for a
shorter period)
~ take the dry pine cone and tie some string around the base of the cone
~ take the suet
(cooking fat made from animal fat) and melt it in the pan over a slow
heat
~ stir in the peanut butter
~ mix it all together until melted
~ add s little flour to the bird food mixture to help it thicken
~ ones it is thick enough add a few bird seeds into the bird food mixture
and keep stirring
~ it needs to be a farily stiff mixture
~ let it cool down a bit but keep stirring
~ Just before the mixture sets take the string of your pine cone and drop
the cone into the pan so that it is covered completly
~ press the bird food mixture into the cavities of the pine cone
~ once full take the string and hang the pine cone bird feeder up to dry
and cool
